This is not the first time Herbert Wigwe will be displaying ostentatiously his friendship with his friend, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede. Late last year, he mentioned in a post that thier friendship has gone beyong business ties as it has metamorphosed into blood a family. Quoting him, he said: “blood is not all there is to family.”

Their business journey started way back in the early 2000s when the Board of Access Bank Plc was trying to reposition the bank on the path to greatness. Both Wigwe and Aig-Imoukhuede were young and vibrant. And the two of them were at the forefront of actualising the all-important task of revitalising the bank.

In 2002, Mr Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede was made the CEO of the bank. And with help from Mr Wigwe and other members of the management team, Access Bank Plc was transformed into a leading bank.

And In 2014, Herbert Wigwe took over from Mr Aig-Imoukhuede as the new CEO of Access Bank Plc and he has continued the job of positioning the bank at the forefront of the banking sector.
