Premier League Club Finally Complete Signing Of 2-Time Champions League Winner

James Rodriguez has joined Everton from Real Madrid for £22million after many weeks of speculation.

The Colombian midfielder signed a two-year deal with the option to extend his contract at Goodison Park for a further year.

The 29-year-old has played with Los Blancos in the last six seasons since winning the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup.

And he was entering the last year in his contract at the Bernabeu before sorting out his future for the summer.

“I am really happy to be at this great club, a club with so much history, and here with a manager who knows me really well,” said Rodriguez on Everton website.

“I’m looking forward to achieving great things here – and winning things, which is what everyone’s aim is.”

Rodriguez will now be playing under Carlo Ancelotti for the third time having joined the Italian boss at Madrid and Bayern Munich.

He managed to play 14 times for Zinedine Zidane’s side last season and scored one goal but he will assured of first team football under Ancelotti.

The former FC Porto and Monaco midfielder won two Spanish league titles and two Champions Leagues with Real and won three Portuguese league titles.
