The summer transfer window just closed yesterday. And already, tongues have been wagging about the last minute deals.

It’s been a record breaking summer spending spree with clubs spending more than £1BILLION.

Manchester United led the way with a £90million deal for Paul Pogba and also signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Rivals Manchester City swooped to sign John Stones for £47.5million before shipping Joe Hart out on loan to Torino.

Chelsea spent big with N’Golo Kante joining from Leicester and Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.

Even Arsene Wenger put his hand in his pocket to land Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach before buying Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi on the eve of deadline day.

Liverpool did most of their business earlier in the window, landing Sadio Mane from Southampton and Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle.
