Lagos Car Crash Leaves 16 People Dead And 5 Injured.

In the wee hours of Tuesday near Alaro City, Epe area of Lagos State, a collision involving two vehicles resulted in 16 fatalities and five injuries.

23 male adults aged over twenty-three were engaged in the collision; 16 were killed, 5 were badly hurt, and 2 escaped without injury.

The Lagos Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the incident and stated that irresponsible driving was to blame for the tragedy, which happened around 3:00 am.

The five injured victims have been hospitalized, according to a statement by the FRSC Public Education Officer of the command, Olabisi Sonusi.

Part of it said, “A white bus with the license plate KTN 262YJ and an articulated truck were the two vehicles involved in the collision (Registration Number unknown).

“FRSC personnel and representatives from various emergency management organizations are on the scene, ensuring the swift collection and egress of all wrecked vehicles.

Because of the poor vision at night, Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Lagos Sector Command Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide recommended drivers to always avoid nighttime travel.

Additionally, he warned drivers to always abide by any posted speed limits and construction signage.

Ogungbemide is also utilizing this platform to express sympathy to the relatives of the victims and to wish the injured a speedy recovery.
