Former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has thrown his weight behind Joy Nunieh, the former Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), director, who was accused of having character issue by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.
Defending the woman this afternoon, Femi via his verified Twitter handle wrote:
“I have known Joy Nunieh for many years. She is a tough cookie &exceptionally intelligent. She is NOT crazy, wayward or flippant. She is a beautiful, righteous &principled lady who is a brilliant lawyer &who has always had the courage of her convictions. She is also a fighter.1/9.”
Earlier today, the former acting managing director said she slappped Godswill Akpabio, minister of Niger Delta affairs, for sexually harassing her.
Nunieh and Akpabio have made allegations against each other following the activities of the senate ad hoc panel investigating the alleged mismanagement of N40 billion by the interim management committee (IMC) of the NDDC.
Akpabio had told the panel that he knew nothing about the expenditure of the NDDC under Nunieh because she refused to give him briefings.
