Chelsea are reportedly planning to make a £55 million offer for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson this summer.
The 23-year-old’s loan deal at Sheffield United will expire this month with the Englishman expected back at Old Trafford afterward.
He has however been touted as a quality replacement for David De Gea after showing superb displays during his time at the Bramall Lane.
His impressive performances have attracted interests from top managers but Frank Lampard seems more desperate to secure his services after losing confidence in Kepa Arrizabalaga.
But the Blues will have to offer him so much more if the player must force his way out of his present club.
The 23-year-old is willing to remain at the club as long as they make him number one if he stays next term as reported by Talk Sport.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to decide who will be his first-choice goalkeeper between De Gea and Henderson next campaign.
And the England star will not sign a new deal with United unless the clause is addressed properly.
Talk Sport quoting The Mirror claim Chelsea are most likely to seal the deal for Henderson if he decides to quit Man United.
And they will be willing to give him as high as £170,000-a-week.
Lampard’s major target this summer would be to sign a goalkeeper following the many blunders committed by the world-record shot-stopper.
Arrizabalaga joined the Stamford Bridge side in a deal valued around £71.6 million two years ago, from Atletic Bilboa and he is unlikely to see out his deal in England.
