Sonorous voice Afro-pop singer, Harrysong is planning to launch his record label, Alterplate, this week.
According to his spokesperson, Desmond Ike, the official launch will take place this Friday at a yet-to-be disclosed venue in Lagos.
“I hereby announce to you, ladies and gentlemen, the official launch party if @iamharrysong @alterplatemusic company this Friday…stay connected for dripping details,” Desmond posted via his social media handles.
Meanwhile, industry watchers are perceiving this move to be a dangerous one as Harrysong is still in contract with his current record label, Five Star Music, owned by singer Kcee and his younger brother, E-money.
Few months ago, Five Star arrested Harrysong for breaching his contract agreement with the label, and due to the intervention of some stakeholders in the music industry, the issue was resolved with Harrysong agreeing to return to Five Star music. His statement then was, “I am happy to return to my family.”
And with his latest move, it’s yet to be seen if all had been settled between the family or we are in for another showdown.
