One of the leaders in the production of juice in the country, Fumman Agricultural Products Industries Plc, has closed down production owing to a monumental debt it owes United Bank for Africa (UBA). According to findings, the company which is located in Ibadan is indebted to the bank to the tune of N2bn and this we learnt led to its recent closure.
And owing to this, majority of the company’s workers have been told to stay at home pending the company resolves the mess.
According to the details on the company’s website, “Fumman Agricultural Products Industries PLC was established in 1994 through the acquisition of the Lafia Canning Factory.” But with the mess the company has recently found itsef, will this be the end of FUMMAN juice. Only time will tell.
