Weeks after asking about his whereabouts on this platform, former Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan has returned to the social scene just as the mythical bed that rose from its ashes.
The former governor announced his comeback during the week at the valedictory/tribute session for the late Olorogun Felix Ovuodoroye Ibru, the first civilian governor of Delta State.
It would be recalled that Olorogun died few months ago after a brief illness. However, if there was anyone who shone like a million star at the event then, it was no other than Uduaghan.
Society watchers were again happy to catch a glimpse of the medical doctor who has before now recoiled into his shell. Known for his oratory and comical speeches, the former governor rattled the crowd with his glowing tribute that nearly moved many to tears.
Before now, the name Uduaghan evokes awe in the oil-bearing state and he was always the darling of many high-octane events. For eight years, he wielded power as he wishes and hence rose to become a prominent governor in the Niger-Delta region.
But after his tenure expired, he went into thin air and little or nothing was heard of him. But now with his recent public appearance, some society watchers are beginning to say in hush-hush tone that the once gregarious man may have found his swagger back, and who knows?
