There was palpable fear last night as Juventus star player, Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a hamstring injury while playing for his country, Portugal, but the football legend has reassured his fans that there is nothing to fear about as regarding his fitness and availability for his team matches.

This is coming on the heels of the injury suffered by the Portuguese in a match he played while representing his country, Portugal against Serbia. Last night, Ronaldo limped off the pitch having suffered a hamstring injury in Portugal’s 1-1 draw against Serbia, but he posited that he is “not worried” about it going forward.

“I’m not worried, because I know perfectly my body,” Cristiano Ronaldo said after suffering the injury.

“It happens, it’s football. Who’s out there risks it. I’m calm, because I know I’m going to be back well in one or two weeks with no problem.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness is needed by his team, Juventus, as they are going to be playing Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals very soon.

The Italian side will play the first leg on April 10 in Amsterdam before returning to Turin for the second leg six days after.
