The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has denied driving against traffic as reported in the media, he said he has never tried it and would never do such.
Speaking at a forum this evening in Lagos Island at an event organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), he said: “I don’t drive in siren and I would never drive against traffic and would never. I am here to lead by example. So I was surprised to see and read in the media that I drove against traffic.”
Speaking further, the Governor who came to the event late said his late arrival was because he took time to arrest 25 Okada riders who took one-way on his way coming at an area called Apogbon in Lagos.
“While I came late to this event was because just this evening, I arrested 25 Okada riders who took one-way at Apogbon. I was wearing Jeans and a Polo shirt. So I would never drive against traffic.”
