Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has revealed how Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo, will win.
No fewer than 11 governors under the platform of the All Progressives Congress stormed Benin, the Edo State capital, on Saturday for the flag-off of the party’s campaign ahead of the September 19 governorship election in the state.
Sanwo-Olu who happened to be one of the governors present at the gathering started that with hardwork, commitment of supporters and the abiding desire of the people of Edo, Ize Iyamu will win.
Sanwo-Olu who described Osagie Ize-Iyamu as a man of God took to his official Instagram page and wrote:
“I, alongside some of my fellow APC Governors at, tended the official flag off of our party’s campaign rally for the Governorship election in Edo State.
“Our candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a seasoned man of God and a conscientious politician has the overwhelming support of the leadership of the party, party members in Edo and APC Governors.
“We are confident that with hardwork, the commitment of supporters and the abiding desire of the people of Edo to sustain the progressive politics and programmes which are hallmarks of our great party, victory is certain in the election.”
Present at the occasion were the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); Abubakar Bagudu (Kebbi); Muhammad Abubakar (Jigawa); Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano); Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna); Hope Uzodinma (Imo); Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (Ondo); Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Abubakar Bello (Niger); were present.
