President Muhammadu Buhari has criticized demonstrations organized by soldiers fighting Boko Haram insurgents.
Buhari, speaking during a live programme aired on NTA tagged ‘The Candidates run’, said soldiers. no matter the condition should not protest.
The president noted that those soldiers caught protesting will be court-martialled.
He said: ” I get situation report from the military. The military should investigate the demonstrations because they are not supposed to demonstrate.
“It is wrong for soldiers to hold protests, as they will be court Martialed because the system is working.
“The angry soldiers will be court-martialed and punished if found guilty.”
The president, however, accepted that the soldiers have resource limitations, unlike Boko Haram insurgents who receive help from external forces.
