Cristiano Ronaldo’s side Juventus suffered 2-0 defeat in Spain when they faced Atletico Madrid last night.

Initially, Juventus had everything going well for them until the home side scored their two late goals through Uruguayan defenders Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin in a very tensed match. Cristiano Ronaldo was on the pitch while the game lasted.

Diego Simone’s side will now go to Turin in the next two weeks with the cushion of the two goals, with Juventus also thinking of upturning the deficit and qualifying for the next round.

Meanwhile, in the other game between Manchester City and Schalke,  Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City came from 2-1 down to win the tie 3-2 with 10 men left following Otamendi’s red card. Sergio Aguero put the visitor ahead but the home side leveled shortly courtesy a penalty and later went ahead to score another penalty with Nabil Bentaleb converting the two.

Manchester City responded deep in the second half with substituted Leroy Sane, a former Schalke player equalized through a superb free-kick. Raheem Sterling won the match with a solo effort after the home-side went to sleep courtesy a lose ball
