As Election Approaches, Dapo Abiodun Moves To Reconstruct Lagos-Abeokuta Road

Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has promised to reconstruct the long abandoned Lagos-Abeokuta Road which have caused major and needless suffering for those living in that axis for years.

On his Facebook handle, the governor said his government will “intervene and begin the road construction.”
However, the governor in his post failed to mention when the project will commence but promised to address the problem very soon.

The post reads: “As a State Government, we have decided to intervene and begin the reconstruction of Lagos-Sango Ota-Abeokuta Road. We will not sit back and watch our citizen suffer needlessly because of that road.”

Meanwhile, some cynics are of the opinion that this new move by the governor is political and motivated by his reelection bid.

Ota is known to be the largest local government in the gateway state and reconstructing the road will definitely boost the governor’s chances at the next election, we heard.
