Comedian cum On-Air-Personality, Daniel Isiwele fondly called Omo Jesu is currently spreading the gospel of comedy across South Africa. The talented entertainer left the shores of the country via Kenya Airways on Saturday, February 11 and he’s expected to return by February 24.
During this short spell, he’s expected to anchor various events in some states in the country. And as part of the plans for the trip, the highly gifted comedian had his first public performance yesterday at NYSC Club alongside Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa. The event was packaged by South Africa based Nigerian promoter, OGD.
And come this Friday, the comedian is billed to anchor a movie launch titled Monsuru in Johannesburg. The event, we learnt, will attract the high and might in Nollywood.
Lest we forget, let’s remind you that Omo Jesu has also hit it big with his wave-making radio programme entitled ‘Landlord and Tenant’ on Lagos prominent indigenous radio station, Faaji 106.5FM. The live programe which kicks off at noon every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday has become the toast of listeners with more than 500,000 listeners.
The programme which highlights some of the challenges encountered by tenants and their landlords has consequently become a solution provider to many problems that normally occur during house rent.
According to sources, the exciting programme is beginning to attract notable companies as some are now trooping in to advertise on it.
Daniel otherwise called the Bishop of Comedy is a native of Delta State. He began his career as an Electrical Engineer before he dabbled into comedy and now OAP. Omo Jesu’s secret has always lies in his versatility, unpredictability and pulsating jokes.
The Lagos State University graduate is happily married to a pretty lady named Anita and they are blessed with three kids
