Contrary to unconfirmed report milling in town that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has resigned from his position as Vice President of Nigeria, it has just been confirmed that Osibanjo is still in very much in office.
Osinbajo, who is acting as President in the absence of President Buhari who is receiving treatment overseas, was said to have been held hostage by some governors who are trying to compel him to resign. But according to sources close to the Vp, “the story is simply not true. It is a fabrication.”
The Vice President is reported to be behind his desk carrying out his task today. He was also said to have presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting today and has since been busy receiving visitors and holding meetings.
