President Muhammadu Buhari has designated Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resolve the disagreements in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, made this known in a statement released on Tuesday.
Tinubu, national leader of the APC, is expected to reconcile aggrieved members of the party and facilitate mediations.
The statement read: “As part of on-going efforts to improve cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari has designated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence building efforts.
“The assignment will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.”
