One thing about champions is that they’re resilient. No matter what is thrown at them, no matter how deep the hole, they find a way to bounce back. This quality of a champion is currently manifesting in the life of Jimi Agbaje, the PDP Lagos gubernatorial candidate in the last elections. Though he lost the race to his major rival, Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress (APC), JK as he’s fondly called has never allowed the bruises of defeat to weigh him down for long. While it’s true that following the elections he recoiled into his shell and at a point briefly closed down his JK Pharmaceutical companies in Apapa, Lagos for God known reason, the trained pharmacist has finally found his rhythm and he’s back to his old self.
From his social hiatus, JK who is also a brother to Segun Agbaje, the managing director of Guaranty Trust Bank returned to the social scene on Sunday, May 24, 2015 with a majestic appearance at Tony Okoroji’s book launch entitled ‘On The Road to Change.’
Held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, the pharmacist looked his best wearing a black Agbada with a red cap to match. His present at the event was brief but throughout his stay he shone like a million star as he also commented on the book which harps on change.
