Manchester United striker, Rumelu Lukaku felt he was personally attacked for being dropped by manager, Jose Mourinho in their game against Everton, according to Metro UK.
The Portuguese had hoped his decision to drop Lukaku would serve as a wake-up call for the player.
However, the 25-year-old believed he was being made a scapegoat for Manchester United problems.
The Begium international also felt the service from midfield and wide areas has been poor throughout the season and that the team are not playing to his strengths.
Following Mourinho’s decision, the former Everton striker has been ‘miserable’ all week and his team-mates have noted his negative disposition.
Lukaku was not spotted as United boarded a flight on Friday to the south coast for their clash against Bournemouth.
