Few days after former President Olusegun Obasanjo issued a strongly worded statement calling on President Muhammadu Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019, both leaders met at the opening session of the 30th African Union Summit at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Muhammadu Buhari met in Ethiopia yesterday. It was the first public meeting since Obasanjo released his special press statement slamming the Buhari Government.

It may be a big lesson for those back home in Nigeria who may have seen Obasanjo’s letter as a declaration of political war.The lesson is sheath your sword.These are big politicians merely disagreeing over issues. Peace, not war!
