Jaafar Jaafar, the publisher of Daily Nigerian, an online medium that released video clip portraying Gov Umar Ganduje of Kano state receiving bribe from contractor has finally arrived Kano state House of Assembly.
He arrived with the holy Qur’an hanged on his shoulders.
Immediately he sat, the sitting commenced.
The security personnel consist of the Police, Department of Security Service (DSS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
Daily Trust reports that all roads leading to the Assembly complex were barricaded by the armed security men.
Further observation indicated that only accredited persons were allowed to gain access to the premises of the Assembly.
Thousands of supporters of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who also stormed the secretariat to witness the sitting, were prevented from entering into the venue by the heavily armed security men.
The hearing is expected to commence by 11:00 am as the publisher of Daily Nigerian, the medium that released the video clip portraying Ganduje allegedly receiving bribe from an unidentified contractor is expected to appear before the committee.
